Our family budget is getting squeezed beyond belief and is adding layers to our stress levels.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 There has been no-choice in cutting expenses.
\nI’ve been fortunate in that, I work with a friend on my glide path to work.\u00a0 So we’ve been alternating rides on the 25ish mile ride to work.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Actually, this has turned out to have some interesting side benefits that I had never anticipated.\u00a0 One interesting benefit is that my wife no longer needs to listen to my boring work stories.\u00a0 It a lot easier venting about work issues with someone on the drive to\/from work instead of the office or worse yet at home.
\nThere is some strange Euphoric feeling of sticking it to the man, by not consuming gasoline that normally would use that I haven’t completely figured out.
\nOne of the things that happened on our car pool schedule is that my friend needed to go downtown one day a week instead of back home on the western suburbs.\u00a0 I said no problem, I’ll bike it home.\u00a0 He thought I was nuts.\u00a0 I couldn’t believe that I haven’t tried this years ago.\u00a0 I’ll get more into what I figured out on my next post.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
